Jersey Power" competes in National Softball Tournament

If home state spirit were the only determinant, we would be hands-down favorite to win the trophy at the National Softball Tournament of National Conference of State Societies Saturday, Sept 22, but either way, we will honor our softball players, a hearty team of sluggers and fielders, primarily from the Hill office teams of Menendez, Lance, Smith, Pallone and Payne, with one outstanding veteran of the Torricelli office.

We need fans to attend, and even a few relief players, but you must send us the info requested below by this Monday, 9/17 to get through the security gates at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling. Also, revisit this website in a few days if you just want to attend the after party in DC. We will post the location and other details

Jersey Power secured a spot in the play-offs on July 14, and showed in games against Washington State and Oregon that they have the muscle to win this national tournament. No doubt, we WILL win and all of the Garden State have much to celebrate! It looks like our first game, at 8 am, will be against Pennsylvania.

Help cheer on our team. Pictured above are left to right, top row: Ryan Farrell, Alina Waterman, Jason Tuber (co-coach, Sen. Menendez office), Ryan Sellinger, Justin Field, Jared DeMarinis, Adam Weinstein, Tom Saunders, Mike Rochford; bottom row: Laura Sanford, Sarah Reinprecht, Brittany Stromko (co-coach, Rep. Lance office) Bob Angelini. Missing from the photo was Jon Taets. We have added a few new players since the photo was taken

To repeat, we need to submit player AND guest information ON MONDAY, SEPT. 17 to get you through the gate and you need to bring a government-issued ID. So, player or guest, email us at your name, driver's license number and state of issuance, and birth date. Or instead of driver's license, your social security number. Names of children who might be in your car should also be included with birthdate

Any questions, call 202 580 9775.
