Garden State Capitol Reception with NJ Leaders

Please join the New Jersey State Society for our annual Garden State Capitol Reception Wednesday, July 17, 2019, 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the US Capitol Visitors Center, Congressional Meeting Room North.

You don't want to miss this Jersey happening in DC! Join us and be brought up to date on the issues facing the Garden State, mingle with home-state friends and enjoy complimentary appetizers and an open bar.

Invited Guests: Our NJSS event partners and members in good standing. If you are unsure of your dues status, email info@njss.org

Invited Special Guests: Our NJ Members of Congress and staff, including our newly-elected NJ Delegation Representatives Andy Kim, Tom Malinowski, Mikie Sherrill and Jeff Van Drew.

New Jersey State Society sponsors and members in good standing will receive emailed invitations on Friday night, July 12..

This is a Members Only event. If you are a sponsor or an NJSS member in good standing, (ie, paid up in dues) you will be emailed directions on how to RSVP. Members are invited to bring one guest.

(Note: The word had gotten around that Jersey rocks! We are getting too many uninvited attendees at events. While for some events we may be more open, for this one we have to strictly limit admission to current contributing members and sponsors of the New Jersey State Society and invited special guests.)

DIRECTIONS: Enter the US Capitol Visitors Center using the long, downward sloping walkway across the street from the Supreme Court. AFTER you enter and clear the security screening, walk through the set of doors immediately in front of you and STOP. (Do not go through the second set of doors.) Make a 180 degree pivot and look up. You will see the words "Congressional Auditorium." Go through those doors, down the stairs and make a left. Proceed to the nearby Congressional Meeting Room North with the check-in table visible.

PARKING and METRO: there is street parking in the blocks surrounding the Supreme Court. There is also plentiful parking a few rather long blocks away at Union Station. Best bet (under normal circumstances) is to METRO to the Capitol South Metro, blue and orange lines.
