Gridiron Sunday Reprise: Hilarious Skits, Leading Journalists SOLD OUT!

SORRY WE ARE SOLD OUT OF TICKETS.

For those who have never attended this historic, satirical, musical performance...you can't go through life without seeing it at least once!

The Gridiron Reprise will be held on Sunday, March 15, in the ballroom of the Washington Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW.

Watch well-known journalists performing songs and skits in costume, journalists such as Al Hunt of Bloomberg, Susan Page of USAToday, Brett Baier of Fox News, John King of CNN, Andrea Mitchell of NBC, and Judy Woodruff of PBS.

Enjoy complimentary, beer, wine and light snacks at the 2 pm pre-show reception where our guests get to chat with some of these Gridiron members invited to our state society gathering. The reprise itself starts at 3 pm and the program ends by 5 pm.

Tickets are $70 and can be purchased through us immediately, below. (They are distributed through state societies and a few other select organizations and are not publicly available.). When you purchase a ticket, you will receive a Paypal acknowledgement and an emailed receipt. We will be back in touch by email as we get closer explaining how you will get your tickets, etc.

Because the Gridiron Club and Foundation is a 501© (3) organization, about $56 of the $70 cost of the ticket is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. If you prefer to pay by check, please email info@njss.org for instructions.

NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT THE WHITE TIE AND TAILS DINNER THE PRESIDENT IS GOING TO THE NIGHT BEFORE, BUT IT IS THE SAME GREAT SHOW!

BACKROUND:
The Gridiron Club has been holding its annual Saturday night, formal Gridiron dinner since 1885, featuring satire and songs that skewer Presidents and Congressional leaders, lobbyists and sacred cows. At this event, (the more informal next-day afternoon Sunday Reprise), syndicated columnist Mark Shields relays the highlights of speeches that were delivered the night before, which typically include remarks by the President and a leading Democrat and leading Republican. Running the musical performance is the director of the Presidentís Own, the Marine Band, Col. Michael Colburn, who serves as the Club's musical director.

Questions? Contact Nancy Fatemi at info@njss.org or call 202 580 9775. If no one is available, call 703 577 0070.

PARKING AND METRO: There is metered street parking, and parking available in the hotel (pricey), and a nearby lot (reasonable). Nearest Metro stops are Gallery Place-Chinatown and Metro Center.
