Who's wine is best? New Jersey & New York Wine Challenge Reception
SORRY, THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY
Join us Thursday, November 13, 5:30 to 7:30 at the UPS Townhouse on Capitol Hill, 421 New Jersey Avenue SE, Washington, DC, for the New Jersey & New York Wine Challenge.
We think our big brother to the north, the New York State Society, is a little too confident that the Empire State wineries can out class our Garden States' vintners. Really? There's a reason they call us "the Garden State." We do not shrink from this challenge, we welcome it!
MANY THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS
Garden State Wine Growers Association
New York Wine & Grape Foundation
Help us cheer on our NJ labels at this friendly competition and enjoy the best wines from both states, complimentary appetizers, and yes, we will have beer too, including some of our states' craft beers. Meet John Cifelli, executive director of the Garden State Wine Growers, an experienced sommelier who will answer your questions about New Jersey wines and our wineries. Enter our guess-the-number-of-corks-in-the-bottle contest and win a bottle of Sharrott Winery's Vignoles, a double gold national and state champion wine from Hammonton, NJ.
PS In addition to utilizing indoor space, we will have access to the beautiful outdoor garden, so you might want to wear a sweater/jacket to enjoy this romantic setting and the fresh air, known by those with a well-developed palate as the best way for discerning the subtleties of wine.
There is no charge for this event, but it is "Members Only." Join or renew your $20 or $25 membership at Purchase/RenewMembership here on our website. If you are unsure of your dues status, or if you want to pay dues by check, please email email@example.com
RSVP by Wednesday 5 pm at NJSSEventbriteRSVP
If you RSVP'd previously by email, you do not need to RSVP again. We have you down, unless you are bringing a new guest, then he/she should RSVP at the new link.
