CONTRIBUTE: Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk for our NJ Guys
Isaiah Joo, running for our 2013 NJSS team, came in 14th out of hundreds.
Did you know that New Jersey has one of the highest rates of deaths from prostate cancer in the nation?
Our NJSS team will once again be walking and running in the Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk on Sunday, June 15, Father's Day, starting off at 8 am at Pentagon Row in Arlington, VA. You have your choice of the four mile run or walk and the one mile walk. (See two photos above). This year organizers are adding a "Kids Superhero Dash for Dad" for the nine and under, also at 8 am. Children are invited to dress as their favorite super hero. You can sign up now!
Details, including how to register to participate, cost ($35 to run and $15 to walk, $15 for Kids dash) start times, route, directions and rules are at the event website zeroprostatecancerrun.org
If you can't join us, please CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM below (on this page) and earn a free, one-year membership in the NJ State Society.
The races will start off at Pentagon Row at 1101 S. Joyce Street, Arlington, VA. There is also a Kids Dash at 8 am.
Strollers are permitted, with some rules, as posted on the event website above. Participants will have views of the Pentagon and the Air Force Memorial.
IF YOU DO REGISTER TO RUN OR WALK, please send a separate email to firstname.lastname@example.org just to make sure we don't miss anyone who is participating and we can be sure to all join up before and after the race.
