Garden State Capitol Reception, Sen. Lautenberg Tribute, Sen Chiesa Welcome, Salute to the Shore
Senator Frank Lautenberg
Plan to join NJSS and the NJ Group for our annual summer evening reception in the US Capitol where we will be joined by our Members of Congress, Senators and other New Jerseyans serving in the Nation's Capital.
We will have a special tribute to the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg, leading off with Senator Menendez and followed by our Members of Congress. Mrs. Bonnie Lautenberg will be joining us. We will also welcome Senator Chiesa and "Salute the Jersey Shore" with 10 different popular NJ Craft Beers, from four different breweries of the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild.
On the table: boardwalk favorite foods and sweet treats (candy apples, cotton candy, saltwater taffy).
We will have a display of the Enduring Legacy of Senator Frank Lautenberg and a display showing we are "Stronger than the Storm," and demonstrating progress made on post Sandy reconstruction, thanks to Senator Lautenberg and other members of the NJ delegation. Hats off to the bipartisan cooperation of federal and state officials!
The reception will be 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Congressional Meeting Room South, Room 217, Congressional Visitors Center (CVC) in the US Capitol.
